Ken Leland’s short story ‘Meant For This World’ won the 2015 Creative Writing prize from the English Department at Carleton University. His fiction, both long and short, often depicts Canadian history, First Nations, Black Loyalists and Quakers.
There is also a series of stories set in Indiana where he was raised; three of those stories have been published by Prolific Press in their Inwood collections. His first historical novel was published in 2013 by Fire Ship Press, 1812 The Land Between Flowing Waters. A sequel is on the horizon.
